- RTTC 2007 Volunteer Award: was presented to Pete Wottreng for his
countless effort and time spent on our club. Pete is one of the RTTC founders and a key part of
the small core team that helped get RTTC started. He has been the Secretary of RTTC since the club was founded.
Congratulations to Pete for this well deserved recognition!
- 12/19/2007 - RTTC - Jeremy Tok Fall 2007 Tournament Info: We will hold a handicap tournament
on the last two Wednesdays of Fall schedule (Dec. 12 and Dec. 19, 2007) for singles and doubles.
Pre-registration for the tournament is required, the deadline is Dec. 8 (Saturday).
There is no extra fee to enter the tournament (other than the usual season pass or drop-in fee).
Each player must have a rating to participate.
All players are encouraged to play both singles and doubles in the tournament.
We would like to thank Jeremy Tok for sponsoring this tournament.
As an appreciation for his generosity, the tournament has been named after him.
Jeremy is a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

- 11/30-2007 - RTTC on KAAL-TV: Ezra Broder, a sports anchor and reporter from KAAL-TV
visited our club on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. He did a very nice report on table tennis.
The story was aired on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 6 PM and 10 PM sportscasts news.

- 11/20/2007 - Joel Lidstrom on the news: One of our own players and a certified
table tennis coach, Joel Lidstrom, was featured in Post Bulletin newspaper for his effort to restore
a 75-year old Steinway grand piano. Congratulations to Joel on a job well done!

- 10/23/2007 - Table Tennis Exhibition: On Tuesday, October 23, 2007, several RTTC players participated in a table tennis exhibition
at the Federal Medical Center Prison, in our effort to provide some measure of community services,
along with promoting the sport of table tennis A special thank you to one of our players, Stan Wilkinson,
for proposing and organizing this activity. Also thanks to other players participated in the exhibition:
Don Heuton, Lai Nguyen, Renli Wang, Pete Wottreng, and Kiswanto Thayib.

10/20/2007 - New rule for Wednesday night play: please check-in at the control desk before practicing.
Please state your name and whether you want to play in the league matches or just want to practice,
to make sure we either schedule you for league matches or have a table available for you to practice.
If you forgot to check-in, we will not assign any league matches for you and there will not be any table available for practice.
9/28/2007 - Rochester Athletic Club is hosting a Ping Pong Tournament on Friday, September 28, starts at 6:30 pm.
Registration deadline: Wednesday, September 26, 1:00 pm.
Fee: $8/person - Non-mbrs: $10/person.

9/15/2007 - There is an article in the
Post Bulletin about a new table tennis club at Austin High School,
Austin Packer Table Tennis Club.
Dustin Gillard, one of the club's organizers, and few of his friends visited RTTC earlier this year (2007).
